Keyla Valerio

Illustrator, Educator, & Comic Book Artist

I have a BFA in Illustration from the Ringling Colllege of Art and Design, I worked as a graphic artist/designer at Polo Ralph Lauren for six and a half years, and am represented by Cadence Comic Art.

My most recent works include variant and A-covers for Power Rangers (Mighty Morphin, Go-Go, and Unlimited) via BOOM! Studios. In 2021, I did a limited retailer exclusive variant run for “Cult of Dracula” published by Source Point Press. This led to being the main cover artist for their second installment, “Rise of Dracula.” Through SPP I worked on numerous variant covers for multiple titles, and also worked on a wonderful retailer exclusive for IMAGE Comics & Royal Collectibles called “What’s the Furthest Place from Here?”

With my background in Illustration and my experience working as a Graphic Designer, I’ve been able to work in everything from catalogs, website re-design and layout, men’s apparel and accessory design, women’s accessory design, and apparel graphics. Currently working doing private comic commissions, comic cover art, original art/digital illustration and merchandise. I’m also an adjunct professor at the College for Creative Studies where I teach twice a week.
