Celebrated Illustrator Tyler Jacobson Joins Visual Arts Passage
Tyler Jacobson is an award-winning fantasy artist, illustrator, and painter. He will share his craft and industry widsom with Visual Arts Passage art students next semester.
We’re thrilled to unveil that next semester, Visual Arts Passage will have the privilege of hosting Tyler Jacobson as a distinguished guest artist. Renowned for his captivating illustrations in the realms of fantasy and science fiction, Jacobson’s presence promises to inspire and elevate the artistic journey of our students.
With an illustrious career spanning over a decade, Jacobson has left an indelible mark on the world of illustration. His portfolio boasts an impressive array of projects, including iconic pieces for Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons. Furthermore, his artwork has graced the pages of esteemed publications such as Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Men’s Journal, and Scientific American, among many others.

Noteworthy accolades adorn Jacobson’s career, including the prestigious Jack Gaughan Award for Best Emerging Artist in 2010 and the Spectrum Gold Award in 2012. A graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Jacobson earned his MFA in Illustration in 2009, solidifying his foundation in the craft.
In collaboration with Flesk Publications, Tyler recently unveiled his inaugural art book, “The Art of Tyler Jacobson,” showcasing the breadth and depth of his creative prowess.
