About Jason Seiler

Jason Seiler’s work has captivated audiences with its distinctive caricatures and realistic portrait paintings, featured prominently in publications like TIME, Rolling Stone, Billboard, MAD magazine, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. His artistic contributions extend to album covers for artists such as Sturgill Simpson and Son Little, and collaborations with major entities like Disney, Universal Pictures, and Aardman Animation.

Jason has had the honor of illustrating TIME magazine’s Person of the Year covers twice, portraying Pope Francis in 2013 and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020. His achievements include a silver medal at the Society of Illustrators West for his portrait of Elvis Costello and The Patrick Nagel Award for Excellence for his painting “Mother Can You Spare a Room” for The Wall Street Journal.

His artistic talents also contributed to character designs for Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland,” bringing to life characters like the Red Queen and the Tweedles. Additionally, his work appears in the animated movie “Escape from Planet Earth” and Disney’s upcoming film, “Disenchanted.”

Jason is also an accomplished author, having published three books: “Caricature, the Art of Jason Seiler,” “SEILER 2008-2009,” and “The Complete Artist.” As an educator, he hosts the weekly art podcast, Face the Truth!
