About the Digital Art Tutorial
Jon Foster will answer questions, discuss techniques, and share professional wisdom during this in-depth, 3-hour demonstration. During this interactive and online event, attending students will be invited to ask questions. Streaming video and his desktop from his home studio Jon will present his entire process. Foster will take a traditionally-finished sketch to a digitally finished image using Adobe Photoshop. The tutorial will cover scanning and photographing traditional work for digital development or finishing. Foster will also explain sketching to rearrange composition, improve value structures, and finishing with color.
Every step of the image-making process will be explained and discussed by the artist.
Jon will also show a collection of his sketches and sketch books.
Whether you’re a beginner artist, make art digitally or traditionally, or working to sharpen your skills, this is an exceptional opportunity to watch a professional illustrator do what he does best. Visual Arts Passage Co-founders, John English and Timmy Trabon join as moderators.
The class is delivered live & online, using Zoom Video Conferencing. Only 50 spots are available for this painting tutorial and it will sell out quickly. Video streaming quality is subject to your internet speeds. We recommend using an ethernet cable and testing your connection in advance.
A recording of this class will not be available
